Frequently Asked Questions

WILL YOU BE THE PHOTOGRAPHER FOR OUR WEDDING OR WILL YOU SEND ANOTHER PHOTOGRAPHER?

Yes… I am the photographer for your wedding. The only way I would send another photographer is if a serious emergency occurs that prevents me from attending. However, as long as that doesn't happen, I will be there to capture your big day. I always bring an assistant to all weddings lasting 6 hours or more. I also have a second photographer available if desired, which is highly recommended for large weddings with many guests or if you want to capture different angles simultaneously, providing more impact in your wedding gallery.

IF I WISH TO SIGN A CONTRACT, HOW MUCH ADVANCE NOTICE DO WE NEED TO DO IT?

If I meet all the requirements you are looking for on that big day, right now! The sooner, the better, and if your wedding is for a very sought-after date, it should be at least a year in advance. Remember that professional photographers are highly recommended, so clients are always looking to secure that person who will document their big day as early as possible to avoid losing it to another client.

WILL WE SIGN A CONTRACT?

Always. For all work performed, a contract is made; it's the proper way to establish a business relationship with our clients and stipulate every detail of the agreement.

WHAT IS THE COST FOR WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY?

Prices vary depending on each client. Why? Simply because some clients do only a ceremony and a cocktail, while others have a complete wedding that includes everything from the preparation of the couple, the ceremony, and the reception, which is approximately 7 hours or more. Our most requested services are for 8 hours of coverage.

IF I DON'T WANT AN ALBUM, ONLY THE DIGITAL FILES. IS THERE A PROBLEM?

None at all. I have always considered that what’s most important is having high-quality photos from that big day. Now, the importance of requesting the complete service is that you will always save on services, which is crucial, especially in these times. But if the budget doesn't allow for it, that’s fine, as long as we have the photos; the album can be made later if you wish. :)

HOW DO WE RESERVE THE DATE FOR OUR WEDDING?

The essential way to reserve my services for your wedding is to make an initial deposit of $400 and sign the contract. This is the only way I can inform other couples getting married on the same day that the date is already taken.

DO YOU DO WEDDINGS OUTSIDE OF PUERTO RICO?

Of course! I love to travel and do weddings in different places. For me, photography shouldn't be confined to where we live; we need to experience and discover new places. So count on me to document that big day even to the ends of the earth.

ARE TRAVEL EXPENSES INCLUDED IN THE PRICE?

For weddings within the Metropolitan Area of Puerto Rico, yes, they are included. For weddings outside of that area, prices vary depending on the distance. For weddings outside of Puerto Rico, travel expenses, accommodations, meals, etc., will be added.

HOW CAN WE HIRE YOU IF WE LIVE FAR FROM PUERTO RICO?

Thanks to technology, there are multiple platforms that make reservations much easier. I work with a platform where everything is done through it, and you can view everything from your computer, phone, or tablet. We can also schedule a Zoom meeting to get to know each other better and talk more about my services. A signed contract and the initial payment are required to secure your date. Current payment methods include PayPal, Venmo, Credit Card, Debit Card, Check, Ath Móvil, or Direct Deposit.

WHERE CAN WE MEET YOU?

We can coordinate an appointment at a Starbucks or via Zoom, which is what’s most commonly used these days. What do you say? Are you up for it? :)

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE VENUE WHERE I WANT TO GET MARRIED SAYS I CAN'T BRING A PHOTOGRAPHER THAT IS NOT ON THEIR LIST?

I find it unprofessional to impose on you to hire certain photographers when you already have your photographer based on communication and rapport. From my point of view, this practice is not only immoral but also illegal, as it goes against the Competition Law. So the best thing to do is to speak clearly with them and show them the photos of the photographer you want to hire. (Honestly, this topic makes me cringe.)

DO YOU DO WEDDING VIDEOS?

Yes. I work on wedding video highlights. We have a team ready to capture those memories in a video.

WHAT IS YOUR STYLE AS A WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER?

My photography style is modern, bright, and full of life and color. What I love to do is capture feelings and emotions, whether it's laughter, tears of joy, or hugs. Weddings are a series of emotions where you always need to be attentive to where and when to click.

WE DON’T KNOW HOW TO POSE! DO WE HAVE TO POSE ON THE DAY OF OUR WEDDING?

No, of course not. My photography is super dynamic and fun. To be honest, weddings last many hours, so we photographers always ask for 15 to 20 minutes to take those poses that will make your photos sensational. I clarify that this doesn’t mean the rest will not be good; what I mean is that I have better control of the light, your positioning, etc. Personally, I recommend doing it: the poses I take are simple and easy, and I think that little “effort” is worth it to get those photos, and before you know it, you’ll be at the famous toast. But I clarify, it’s not mandatory; it’s just recommended.

HOW MANY PHOTOS DO YOU DELIVER FROM THE WEDDING AND IN WHAT FORMAT?

I deliver all the photos from your day, and all go through basic editing for color correction, contrast, white balance, etc., bringing the photography to a modern style as you've already seen in my work. The final photos are delivered in high-resolution JPG format.

WE WANT OUR WEDDING PHOTOS TO INCLUDE GUESTS, NOT JUST US. IS THIS POSSIBLE?

Of course! It's part of my job to capture everything that happens around me. Always remembering that you are my main focus, and I’ll be more attentive to you. I suggest having someone from your family or a designated person to indicate the most important people so I can capture what they do and their emotions during the event.

WHAT CAMERA EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE ON THE WEDDING DAY? DO YOU BRING ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT?

I always carry 2 Sony cameras along with their lenses: 70-200 2.8, 24-70mm, 85mm 1.8, 50mm 1.4, 85 1.8, approximately 3 to 4 flashes, modifiers, transmitters, stands, extension tubes for ring photos.

DO YOU DO MORE THAN ONE WEDDING A DAY?

No! Weddings are a series of events where the schedules can change, so I dedicate my day only to one wedding.

DO WE NEED TO HIRE A SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER, OR CAN YOU COVER THE WEDDING WELL BY YOURSELF?

I offer the service of a second photographer for all couples who request it.

DO YOU DO OTHER TYPES OF WORK BEYOND WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY?

Yes, besides weddings, I also do Quinceañera parties, corporate events, family photos, among others.

HOW MANY PHOTOS DO YOU DELIVER IN THE GALLERY?

There is no exact number of photos delivered; the quantity will depend on how your event unfolds. But going back to previous answers, I deliver all edited photos except duplicates, test shots, or out-of-focus photos.

WHAT IS THE DELIVERY TIME FOR WEDDING PHOTOS?

For the online gallery, the delivery time is a maximum of 3 to 4 weeks, although most of the time I deliver in 1 or 2 weeks. For the album, a maximum of 6 to 8 weeks depending on how long it takes to select the photos.

DO YOU DELIVER THE DIGITAL NEGATIVES (RAW) OF THE WEDDING PHOTOS?

Definitely NO.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO CHOOSE THE PHOTOS THAT WILL GO IN THE WEDDING ALBUM?

Of course! It is very important to me that the photos you like the most are represented in that beautiful album.

HOW MANY PHOTOS DOES THE WEDDING ALBUM INCLUDE?

In the album that I quote the most, Premium 10x10 Square, there are 50 to 60 photos, but you can always request to add more pages for an additional cost to include more images.

DO YOU RETOUCH THE WEDDING PHOTOS?

Yes, all the photos I deliver are processed to make that album look spectacular.

CAN WE PRINT THE WEDDING PHOTOS YOU DELIVER?

Of course! All wedding photos are in high resolution. You can make a poster if you want.

HOW CAN YOU TAKE PHOTOS OF THE BRIDE AND GROOM'S PREPARATIONS AT THE SAME TIME?

There’s no magic! The trick is to determine, based on the bride’s schedule for hair, makeup, bouquet delivery, etc., what time I need to be with the groom. He will need to get dressed a little earlier than he would if it weren't for the photographer haha, or as a second option, hire the services of a second photographer.

DO WE NEED TO INCLUDE A MEAL FOR YOU AND ONE FOR YOUR ASSISTANT?

For weddings lasting 5 hours or more, a vendor meal is recommended; otherwise, I would have to go out to find food, which could cause delays in your schedule. Our job requires a lot of attention, and during an event like this, we are constantly drinking a lot of water, and we need to eat to keep functioning at 100%. So far, I haven't had any issues with clients regarding this matter.

WHAT HAPPENS IF THE CAMERA, FLASH, OR A LENS BREAKS DURING THE WEDDING?

I carry 2 cameras, 3 flashes, and several professional-level lenses.

WILL YOU SELL PHOTOS TO GUESTS DURING THE WEDDING?

No... Not even joking.

WILL YOU STAY UNTIL THE END?

This will all depend on the service contracted and the number of hours. If you want me to stay longer, you can hire extra hours that same day.

WHERE DO WE TAKE OUTDOOR PHOTOS ON THE WEDDING DAY?

They are usually taken in the surrounding areas, such as gardens, streets, or structures where the ceremony or reception takes place. The session tends to last about 20 minutes, but if you feel like it and there is time, we can go wherever you want for as long as you want.

WHAT IS THE FIRST LOOK SESSION?

It's the first meeting of the couple just before the ceremony, usually at the location where the ceremony will be held and dressed for the wedding. An intermediate place along the way can also be chosen. Sometimes the couple is separated by an element that prevents them from seeing each other but allows them to be in the photos at the same time; in other cases, the groom’s eyes are covered, allowing only the bride to see him. There are several possible combinations.

WHAT IS AN ENGAGEMENT SESSION (LOVE STORY)?

It's a photo session lasting a maximum of 1 to 2 hours that takes place a few weeks or months before the wedding day.

IS IT IMPORTANT OR NECESSARY TO HAVE A PRE-WEDDING PHOTO SESSION (LOVE STORY)?

If it serves a purpose, it's to get to know each other better, so when the wedding day arrives, we feel like we’ve been friends for years haha. Although this sometimes happens even without having a pre-wedding session, honestly. Some colleagues say it’s also good for the couple to get used to the camera.
